Aziza Kajan is the Director of the Centre for Graduate Mentorship and Supervision (CGMS), with the School of Graduate Studies, at the University of Toronto. She is a proud University of Toronto alum and holds a Master of Social Work from Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. Prior to her role with CGMS, Aziza provided psychotherapy at various healthcare and post-secondary institutions, supporting individuals through complex mental health and relational challenges.
In her current role, Aziza works closely with graduate students and faculty supervisors to help them develop strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Her work focuses on building confidence, relational awareness, and self-determination, so that students and supervisors can navigate the supervisory relationship with clarity, skill, and support. Drawing on her clinical background, Aziza brings a compassionate, practical, and strengths-based approach to fostering healthy academic environments.
