Alison Haggins was introduced to the world of admissions as a Diversity Recruitment Intern at her alma mater, Lehigh University, and has been passionate about the field ever since. She began her professional career at Manor College in 2018 as an Admissions Counselor before returning to Lehigh University to continue her work in student recruitment and engagement.
She currently serves as the Senior Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. In her role, Alison leads the planning and execution of on-campus and virtual events, supervises and trains a team of student workers, supports domestic and international recruitment efforts, and provides guidance on financial aid to prospective students.
With over a decade of experience in higher education, Alison is deeply committed to helping students find the right fit for their goals. She is especially passionate about supporting first-generation, low-income, and students of color as they navigate the path to higher education.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Alison is still adjusting to the fast pace of life in Philadelphia, but she has learned to embrace it one SEPTA ride at a time.
