Please provide a one-paragraph overview of the session. (200 words or less): In today’s world of work, everyone knows that managers and leaders need to coach their people. And as a leader or manager, you’re probably not getting effective coaching, and you’re probably not delivering very effective coaching. During this session, you will learn what it takes to build a habit of effective coaching. The benefits of effective coaching move an employee from WIIFM (what’s in it for me) to WIIFU (what’s in it for us). It enables you, as the coach, to reap specific benefits from your efforts. In this session you will discover that coaching is pretty simple, pretty quick (10 minutes or less), and should be done daily and informally. The essence of coaching lies in helping others and unlocking their potential. When you build a coaching habit, you can more easily break out of the three vicious circles the plague our workplaces: creating overdependence, getting overwhelmed, and becoming disconnected.
