As the Interim Director of Admissions at Athens State University, she leads a talented team of transfer advisors, processors, and enrollment professionals, all committed to creating a welcoming, student-centered admissions experience.
Amber’s passion goes beyond numbers and processes—she’s driven by people. She believes true transformation in higher education begins with those who serve students every day. Her mission is to help professionals move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling inspired, leading with confidence, clarity, and purpose even through times of change.
Under her leadership, Athens State has strengthened partnerships across North Alabama, expanded transfer pathways, and brought creativity and heart to outreach through signature events like Transfer Day, Counselor Appreciation Breakfast, and Coffee & Connections.
Outside of work, Amber mentors high school students through the AUM Foundation, guiding them through college preparation and teaching leadership development.
In her presentation, “Transforming the Transformer: From Overwhelmed to Inspiring—Lead with Confidence Through Change,” Amber shares strategies to reignite passion, restore balance, and inspire those who inspire others.
