Aleia McKessy is an Assistant Director of Admissions at the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago. Her career in admissions started while pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Alma College, as a campus tour guide and continued in graduate school at the University of Chicago, as a graduate assistant in the central admissions office, while completing her Master of Arts in Social Service Administration at the Crown Family School. Since beginning her career, she has worked in both online and in person admissions work, with a focus on applicant connection and support and recruitment strategy. She has also spent the last 4 years involved in NAGAP and the last 3 years on the board, President and Vice President, of MAGAP. She is also an Alumni of NAGAP’s Leadership Academy. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Chicago, traveling, sewing/cross stitching/knitting, and spending time with friends and family!
